Here goes nothing

My router jig was built, the mortises laid out, and the super deluxe double fluted bit was ready. The first aid kit was nearby, and I had one more shot of whiskey just for luck...

Well not really.

Not having made mortise & tenon cuts in about a decade, I started with a quick education on sizes of tenons, etc. It took a short while of studying up, and then I was set.

I started by making relief cuts in the wood with a smaller bit. That way when I did the final cutting I wouldn't have to worry too much about putting excess stress on the wood. Everything went well. I went in 1 3/4 on three cuts, about half way in as recommended.
